Abstract

This session includes a presentation from Dr. Jennifer Wooten, the SIG’s 2010 dissertation award winner. Additionally, this meeting provides opportunities to engage in discussions of research agendas that have developed for second language learner education in a transnational world. This will include: a report on the proposals submitted for 2012, and useful information on preparing proposals for 2013 sessions. Other SIG business includes announcement of the winners of the SLR SIG's Senior Research and Midcareer Awards, recognition of accomplishments of SIG members, introduction to current leadership and nominations for SIG officers, and discussions of issues of governance.
