Abstract

This session will focus on theoretical and practical considerations of the journal Learning for democracy: A journal of thought and practice. Established in 2003 in the UK, the journal transitioned to an editorial home in the US. This transition and related aspects of the journal’s expansion have provided scholars with opportunities to discuss implications and applications of multidisciplinary inquiry that bring to the fore democratic theory and practice. Editorial board representatives will interact with attendees about the nature of disciplinary works that might otherwise not immediately reveal the nature of their underlying democratic pragmatism
