Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how community schools research is currently being used to improve education and serve the public good in a rural area in Town Valley, Honduras. Findings are based on interviews, observations and journals from people’s experience with this research and the possibilities for Honduran education through community schooling. The sample includes 1 town major, 2 school administrators who work for the local schools, 2 teachers working at the schools, and 6 parents of the community. The picture that emerges from this research will guide the educational entities in finding ways to make a difference in the Honduran educational system.
