Abstract

The primary purpose of this study is to share the findings from a qulaitative studying exploring how a small group of students of color experience and make meaning of cross-racial relationships in designated multicultural program during their first year in college at a PWI.

I specifically focused on the experiences of self-identified students of color who selected to live in a designated multicultural community.

The individual student stories and realities illuminate the complexities of how students of color make meaning at a PWI. The findings also reveal how students wrestle with and make meaning around intersections of identity.
