Sun, April 15, 12:25 to 1:55pm, Vancouver Convention Centre, Floor: Second Level, East Room 2&3

Abstract

This study took place at a southeastern, research I institution, as part of a comprehensive review by an Inclusiveness Taskforce Committee. In an effort to collect baseline data on perceptions of how the College of Education was dealing with issues of inclusiveness and ideas surrounding diversity, a web-based survey was distributed to all faculty. Responses were analyzed using a Rasch measurement model to investigate potential differences between faculty responses by the most cryptic dichotomy of black and white, while also capturing common views. Results were used to construct a framework for inclusiveness policy and planning.
