Rethinking Doctoral Education Praxis: Preparing Doctoral Students in Educational Leadership for Vastly Different Times

Abstract

This roundtable presentation will present the authors ‘ongoing research findings from their three year study about applying a problem of practice approach in educational leader preparation at the doctoral level. An overview of the literature and related rationale for this approach will be presented, along with data from the authors’ action-based research. The experiences and insights of the authors’ in applying this approach, as well as those of two doctoral student presenters, also will be shared, followed by an interactive discussion with participants.
