This symposium will focus on teachers' perspective of partnering with researchers on the development and implementation of instructional interventions. Participants are teachers who have collaborated with researchers on research that aimed to improve instruction. Also participating will be a couple of researchers who have engaged in such collaborative researcher-teacher projects. The teacher-participants will present their experiences and respond to questions concerning their insights for researchers who are interested in pursuing such collaborative work. The researchers will talk about their reasons for engaging in such partnerships. The symposium will conclude with a discussion between the audience and the presenters on the best ways to build teacher-researcher relationships to maximize the potential of such collaborative work.
