The author utilizes social cognitive career theory and the psychosociocultural framework in order to examine Latina college students’ career decision-making process and goals. While the career decision-making process may be stressful for many students, high achieving Latina college students face the unique challenge of, often, having to reconcile their career aspirations and cultural values; this is especially true for those who attend predominately white institutions (PWI) of higher education (Berrios-Allison, 2011). Findings from the proposed study have several implications for student affairs administrators, academic departments, institutional policies, and programs on how to best support the career outcomes and goals of Latinas at PWIs. Several implications for research and theory may also be derived from the proposed study.
