We examine the ideas and feelings that teachers-to-be have about school violence and possible ways to act in front of it. We aim at grasping the views on violence of a group of 29 students in the Teacher’s Training Degree (Universitat Ramon Llull, Barcelona) and the solutions that, according to them, the school should provide. We explore their previous experiences concerning school violence and analyze their perception of the roles of victim, offender, witnesses, parents and teachers. The participants in the study watch an episode of school violence recently spread on the net and respond to an open-answer questionnaire. Results show an overwhelming rejection toward violence; however, a model of peace through force in which retributive justice is preeminent prevails.
