This paper focuses on the increasing hostility faced by scholars of color and white allies in higher education on the battlefields of our work, which has come to be known as Racial Battle Fatigue (Smith, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). We present a brief overview of the framework of the Obama-era reality as it relates to education as well as provide a framework for the organization the three levels of academics represented by the session with emphasis on Racial Battle Fatigue. Each presenter will present a short narrative with the other two interweaving analysis, discourse, and challenging dialogue to reproduce the dialogic process they argue is necessary to begin reaching to the power of allied voices relative to diversity.
