Guided by concepts from the principal agent and production function theories, this study examines how the number bachelor degrees awarded at public comprehensive four-year institutions is related to Pell grant revenue. This research uses institution-level data and a IV fixed-effects regression model that takes into account spatial autocorrelation. The finding from this inquiry suggest that after taking into account endogeneity and spatial dependency, over the past few years Pell grant revenue did not contribute to the production of bachelor's degrees at public comprehensive institution. Other variables, however, had a positive influence on the number of degrees produced.
