Session Type: Symposium
Building on last year’s session exploring ABER process in dance and comic book forms this session continues and broadens the conversation about process. At the moment, we have two concerns. First, the focus in the ABER community may have leant more toward making art than thinking about inquiry. Has the purpose of inquiry into educational phenomena been lost? Second, has there been enough discussion about the process of there art-making as a form of inquiry but, rather, more on the products of making. In this symposium we want to discuss this intersection of process and inquiry. Some of the panel will focus more strongly on the aesthetic decision making side of the intersection, others on the inquiry side of the intersection.
