Session Type: Symposium
In response to this year’s conference call toward justice in the democratizing possibilities of popular research dissemination, this session will use fiction-based- or fiction-as-research in order to engage dialogically with the theme of ‘toward justice’, which these presentations address head-on. Using the creative forms of the novel, playscript and music, these panelists will critically explore methodological issues in arts-based educational research within the context of their research and the contemporary education field. This panel uses innovative educational research and popular methodological and dissemination techniques to serve the public good, and demonstrates how methodological research is relevant to the challenges facing learners and educators today. Its performative format and content encourages interactivity and audience engagement in this symposium.
