Session Type: Symposium
This curated presentation shall illustrate boundary-crossing a/r/tography (Pinar, 2004) from three researchers hailing from Australia, Canada, and the United States of America. The intent of this session is to present, provoke, and healthfully progress the evolutionary form of Arts-Based Educational Research (ABER) in ways that positively enable transformations of energy into more thoughtful actions through assimilation of meanings from our prior experience (Dewey, 1934). Representing shards of our teaching experience in-between personal and collaborative scholarly pursuits through artwork, stories, photographs, and audio/video recordings of processes from our world, this construction-in-progress invites you to engage in ways that may open up knew ways to see and understand (Leavy, 2009).
