Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
In the multi-faceted work of examining Teach For America (TFA), an important question that has yet to be examined in depth is: “How has TFA impacted hiring practices at local levels?”
The goal of this session is to examine the impact of TFA on local hiring practices. Through an analysis of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), local documents and reports, and critical policy analysis this session explicates TFA’s role in four different school districts in Atlanta, New York City, North Carolina, and New Orleans.
