This session will share pertinent lessons learned about developing meaningful family, school, community partnerships from four federally funded Investing in Innovation (i3) grants. Presenters, including grantees and evaluators from diverse sectors and regions of the country, will illustrate the multi-level outcomes derived from effective implementation of the Department of Education’s Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family-School Partnerships, as well as the strengths and challenges associated with implementing and evaluating family engagement. The session will allow time for the audience to dialogue with presenters, the chair, and the discussant to generate broader lessons that can be applied to research and practice in the field of family, school, community partnerships.
