Abstract

Session Objectives:
1. To advance conceptual clarity in respect to values-based goals of higher education, including education for democratic citizenship, global citizenship, intercultural competence, and social justice.
2. To clarify how robust understanding of many of these dispositions leads to challenging implementation and institutionalization requirements for leaders and educators intent on advancing these ideals in the context of higher education and community-campus partnerships.
