Session Type: Symposium
Building on the social science arguments for both affirmative action and k-12 school desegregation, this symposium connects the scholarship of higher education on student learning and educational outcomes in diverse settings to K-12 educational policy, practice and scholarship. This session will provide a framework to shift policy and practice toward a 21st Century understanding of why and how racial, ethnic and cultural diversity matters in educational settings.
