Abstract

The purpose of this study was to gain information from District X Public School District regarding the role of the leader in the Instructional Data Team (IDT) process and how specific leadership behaviors affect instructional behaviors to improve student achievement for all students, in particular students of low socioeconomic backgrounds. The central research question and four sub-questions for this study are:
What are the leaders’ behaviors during the Instructional Data Team process that affect instructional practices?
