The main purpose of this study was to determine the effects of teacher leadership on student achievement in the areas of science and math. An ANOVA performed on the End of Quarter Test data found a significant difference in both the advanced science control group and advanced science experimental groups as well as the advanced math control group and advanced math experimental group. No significant difference was found between the experimental groups and control groups in either non-advanced math or non-advanced science classes. Results from this research indicate that teacher leaders did have a positive impact on student academic achievement in the areas of advanced math and science.
