The Role of College Counseling in College Aspirations of Latina/o Students

Abstract

Relying on data from the High School Longitudinal Survey of 2011 (HSLS), we use logistic and multinomial logistic regression to examine two indicators of student-counselor engagement around postsecondary plans in grades 9 and 11, as well as with counselors’ influence on college-going aspirations of Latina/o eleventh graders.
