This session is organized to honor and acknowledge the foundational contributions of George Hillocks in the areas of composition studies, teacher education, language and literacy along with his methodological contributions to studies in this field. The presentations in this symposium will examine Dr. Hillocks’ research in these areas over the past 50 years as well as their impact and influences. The presentations will examine his contributions as a scholar and a mentor.
