Sat, April 18, 8:15 to 9:45am, Sheraton, Floor: Fourth Level, Chicago VI&VII

Abstract

This paper discusses the use and implementation of computer-based simulations from an instructional design perspective. Specifically, this paper addresses important topics to consider when implementing simulations as an instructional strategy including: the level of fidelity of the simulation, the type of simulation, the affordances that the simulation provides to the learning experience, and research-based design heuristics.
