The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on teachers at two Midwestern high schools. We examine the stories of teachers who have participated in a MBSR teacher professional development course in order to understand how Mindfulness has affected their lives inside and outside their classrooms.The following research question structures our inquiry, “What are the effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for teachers?”
