This presentation describes a virtual coaching model for candidate observation utilizing Skype and Bug-in-the-Ear (BIE) Bluetooth technology. The model allowed nontraditional candidates in rural, remote and local, urban contexts to receive immediate guidance and feedback. This session reports participants’ perceptions and concerns about the virtual coaching model. Ultimately, the intervention model was seen as a positive experience that enabled participants to redirect their instructional practices and behaviors immediately.
