The study was conducted to investigate self-reported math-anxiety of students from two public high schools situated within state government owned universities from two countries (Nigeria and U.S.A). With a total number of 236 participants from the two schools, the researcher employed a modified and adapted Math-Anxiety Rating Scale–H, to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using paired samples t-test and independent samples t-test. It was discovered that there was no significant difference between high school students’ math-anxiety between the two countries. It was also discovered that even though gender does not affect math anxiety in each country, there was a significant difference among both genders from the two regions.
