This paper positions contemplative pedagogy as an applicable methodology that focuses on the education of the whole person. Through a self-study, author one and author two developed a few initial components of contemplative pedagogy for students within the Humanities. It is important to physically arrange the classroom into a circle, engage in a secular meditation, teach through contemplative dialogue, and end class with a pulse activity. The authors plan to consistently re-envision these contemplative pedagogical components as they regularly work towards improvement-aimed pedagogy.
