Abstract

There is a need for dual language, early childhood programs that take into account language diversity, variation, and early childhood developmental needs in preschool-aged children. The researchers discuss how a Spanish, dual-language immersion (DLI) preschool is situated within a Reggio-inspired, developmentally appropriate framework for early childhood instruction.
