Abstract

Using images culled from popular trade magazines as entry in to the threshold of queer, postcolonial, and poststructural theories, this qualitative inquiry engages elementary education preservice teachers’ entanglements with gender(s) and sexuality(ies) as a means provoke new dialogues with(in) the field of social studies teacher education’s previous endeavors to understand preservice teachers’ beliefs and curricular thinking.
