Afterschool intermediaries are becoming more prevalent in major US cities, and a robust body of research on these organizations is beginning to emerge. This multi-site, qualitative case study investigates seven partner organizations consisting of nine sites who have deeply engaged with an intermediary located in a large and diverse US city. In particular, the intermediary provided four “key services” to these partner organizations. We use the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Behaviors (KAB) framework to discover what the conditions for using the key services are, and to exemplify these conditions for other afterschool intermediary organizations. Data were digitally collected via a semi-structured retrospective interview with organization executives and programmers during summer, 2015. The narrative data have not yet been segmented or analyzed.
