Following Graduates of Innovative High Schools: The Big Picture Longitudinal Study

Fri, April 8, 12:00 to 1:30pm, Convention Center, Floor: Level Two, Exhibit Hall D Section C

Abstract

Big Picture Learning is a network of innovative small high schools designed for the purpose of reducing educational inequality by increasing high school graduation and postsecondary college and career achievement among low income and minority youth. The Big Picture Longitudinal Study tracks 2,300 graduates of the 23 Big Picture schools to study whether and how a personalized, interest-based secondary school model is associated with positive postsecondary outcomes for this group of low-income students.
