Bring Your Own Device in the Classroom: Teacher Perceptions

Sun, April 10, 2:45 to 4:15pm, Marriott Marquis, Floor: Level Two, Marquis Salon 14

Abstract

Data analysis from a mixed methods research study of teacher perceptions of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programs indicates that, overall, teachers in BYOD programs believe they contribute to student learning. But not all BYOD programs are created equal. This study of 108 teachers in public and private schools on several continents indicates that overall BYOD programs can be successful with the appropriate support and an effort to address equity for students who may not be able to bring a device.
