The purpose of this study was to establishing reliability of the leadership capacity questionnaire (LCQ). The accomplishment of any school or district essentially depends on the efficiency of the administrators governing its affairs. Because preparation programs very seldom produce leaders who are totally equipped with the skill set of new school administrators (Searby, 2010), districts should implement professional develop programs in order to build capacity among the administrators in the district.
The leadership capacity questionnaire was used to collect data from 400 administrators in a Southeast Texas County Public Schools. The results indicate an internal consistency of .961Cronbach's Alpha.
