English-speaking international schools experienced dramatic expansion in the past two decades. This strong growth presents challenging context for international school leaders in attracting the most qualified teacher candidates, which is in short supply. The purpose of study is to identify the constructs that underlie school reputation, to determine how important each of the factors or measured variables is in attracting teachers to apply, and to determine the relationship between school reputation and teachers’ interest to apply.
Three member schools from the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) provided 821 participants for this study. In total 56% of the participants responded to our questionnaire.
We conducted simple descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and factor analysis to answer the research questions.
