Sat, April 9, 4:05 to 5:35pm, Convention Center, Floor: Level One, Room 141

Abstract

Due to the lack of ethical reasoning environment and instruction during the process of pre-service teacher education, this study exploits the characteristics and advantages of digital interactive learning environment and simulates ethical dilemma that includes interactivity, recreating experience, analysis of afterthoughts, and safety control environment to effectively track the reasoning model of student teachers and investigate the factors that may affect their reasons to be a teacher.
This study will develop the principles of teacher’s ethical reasoning, test the models of teacher’s ethical reasoning (rational action theory vs. ethics decision theory, justice theory and care theory), and study the differences among student teachers.
