Session Type: Symposium
The need for periodic research-based curriculum review aimed at maintaining programme quality and continually improving student learning experiences calls for rigorous research overlaying the review process to source and develop new knowledge of innovation in education. The objective of the symposium is to explore the complexity of sourcing educational innovation to review curricula of Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), and Diploma Programmes (DP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). It addresses ways literature reviews, curricula comparison, and case studies distill novelty in education for curriculum innovation. Six presenters from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States discuss curriculum and programme review aspects of the PYP, the MYP, and the DP.
