Session Type: Roundtable Session
This session will share lessons learned from the evaluations of three highly competitive federal Investing in Innovation (i3) grants that focus on promoting parent leadership in schools, districts, and regions with substantial Latino populations. Each presenter will address the research question, “How does parent leadership become transformative?” Together, presenters will draw on evidence from their work in schools, districts, regions, and state legislatures. The goals of the symposium are for the audience to learn about research-based principles for parent leadership that are replicable in other educational settings and evaluation efforts to document parent leadership. Presenters will include both grant implementers and evaluators.
