Session Type: Symposium
There is promising evidence showing that mindfulness-based programs for students, teacher candidates, and teachers can actually improve the educators’ and the students’ social and emotional well-being. However, it is important to understand the process for how these changes take place. Thus, the purpose of this symposium is to explore how teacher candidates, teachers, and students integrate mindfulness practices as part of their own self-development and well-being, and how mindfulness is reflected in their daily interactions, concluding with an exploration of the ethical foundations of larger scale implementation in the field of education.
