Session Type: Symposium
The ED School Climate Surveys (EDSCLS) platform allows for the collection and reporting of school climate data at the local level. The surveys can be used to produce school-, district-, and state-level school climate scores on various indicators of school climate from the perspectives of different stakeholders. This session aims to demonstrate the development work for the EDSCLS from different perspectives. In the session, we share our vision, experiences, and lessons learned from the development process. The presentations focus on policy concerns behind the design of EDSCLS, how stakeholders were engaged, selected results from development research, and suggestions for implementing SCLS. Laptops and iPads running EDSCLS will be available to allow the audience to explore the system at the end.
