Abstract

Schools and districts across the country are working vigorously to transition their education practices to more digital age, personalized learning for students. This roundtable session will provide an opportunity for researchers to share evaluation approaches, challenges, and lessons learned from large-scale evaluations of a digital learning transitions at the district, state and national levels. Evaluation researchers from The William and Ida Friday Institute, the Public Education Foundation, and the Metiri Group will each focus on separate but complementary components of their digital learning evaluations. A primary outcome of this working roundtable session will be an evaluation brief which identifies common issues and successful approaches for evaluating digital learning efforts across contexts.
