The panel features four qualitative studies that embrace different methodological and theoretical approaches in hopes of illuminating a more nuanced understanding of how Latina/o youth fight for a more equitable and humane educational experience. This panel offers a detailed discussion on how Latina/o youth respond to the institutions they traverse (e.g. schools, community), examines myriad ways youth attempt to enact social change, and how a student centered perspective can inform policy.
