Session Type: Workshop
This workshop aims to provide a generative space for graduate students to learn, share, and connect with each other around the process of planning, implementing, and completing dissertations that involve Participatory Action Research (PAR). Presenters include PhD candidates in different stages of the PAR dissertation research process and early career scholars who have recently completed PAR dissertations, followed by faculty mentors who will discuss common themes. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in reflective discussion and interaction with the workshop presenters and each other. Different stages throughout the PAR dissertation process will be highlighted, from building relationships and creating research questions to collectively analyzing data and writing an individual dissertation embedded within a larger project.
