Session Type: Symposium
To encourage effective design, implementation, and evaluation of OST programs serving ELLs, our symposium will offer attendees, theoretical models, evaluation findings, and practical reflections that emphasize the importance of leveraging partnerships with multiple stakeholders. Attendees will gain:
•Knowledge of OST design and implementation models for supporting students’ academic, social and emotional needs
•Insights on useful teacher development opportunities to address language and learning needs of students.
•Methods for collecting formative and summative data to evaluate OST programs in urban settings.
•Strategies for successful inter-agency collaboration that include multiple stakeholders.
