Session Type: WERA Symposium
Teacher education in the 21st century needs to prepare teachers to be adaptive to the changing demands of the education environment. This symposium synthesized the studies and findings of pre-service teachers’ training from the perspectives of teacher professionalism through practicum exchange programs, transformative practices of collaboration across professional communities to facilitate innovative improvements in teacher education programs, the effectiveness of the Professional Practice and Inquiry in facilitating pre-service teachers’ growth in teacher professionalism and finally, pre-service teachers’ ethical reasoning and factors that may affect their reasons to be a teacher.
