Strong themes which emerged from the findings included: the role in which early life experiences plays into shaping identity and ideologies; particular experiences one has had with regard to race and racism; the interactions and relationships teachers form with their students; intersectionalities between race, class, and gender and the ways such factors impact one's identity and experiences; and, whether the participant exhibited colorblind versus critically conscious ideologies about race.
