Tue, April 12, 8:15 to 9:45am, Convention Center, Floor: Level Three, Ballroom A

Abstract

Second language education has gradually shifted instructional medium from paper and pencil to computer or Internet, especially for writing courses. Language education via technology on peer works becomes a trending topic in recent years. This systematic literature review focuses on peer written feedback via digital mediums in adult’s ESL or EFL writing courses and aims to find out factors other researchers found that affect the content and types of peer written feedback either received or given by peers. The finding of this study provides an overall summary of the most recent studies on peer feedbacks of adult ESL writing via technology and identifies the research gaps in this area, such as other potential factors and effectiveness of peer feedback.
