This study surveyed 74 master’s level counseling students from various programs about their outcome expectation (OE) toward becoming competent counselors in relation to the topics of spirituality and religiousness (S/R). This study explored the influence of program leaning environment (LE) toward S/R and program emphasis on S/R competencies (SRC) on students’ OE. The results of the hierarchical regression analysis supported the impact of both LE and SRC on OE. Implications for counselor educators are provided.
