This linking study addressed how Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) data can serve as indicators of success on Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) for Grades 3–8 in a large school district. Incorporating correlation, logistic regression, and equipercentile linking procedures, the study used a single-group linking method to: 1) examine predictive and concurrent validities for MAP and PARCC; 2) determine thresholds on fall MAP associated with high probabilities of PARCC success; and 3) generate concordance tables for spring MAP and PARCC. The results can help teachers provide additional instructional support to students at risk of not being on track of attaining college and career readiness, and help districts improve accountability system relevant to budget decision.
