Abstract

This study explored the predictive relationship between leadership competencies and data driven decision making (DDDM) among community college leaders. The authors developed and disseminated a survey examining DDDM literacy level, community college leadership competencies, and other related key factors. Utilizing exploratory factor analysis, the authors explored constructs that measures DDDM literacy and leadership competencies. Regression analyses revealed how leadership competencies may impact the culture area of DDDM literacy. Findings contributed the literature by filling the research gaps of DDDM in community college context, highlighting the significance of leadership competencies in creating DDDM culture, and providing valid and reliable measures for future studies.
