This paper aims to contribute to the dialog between fields of scientific knowledge for the democratization of educational opportunities, describing the relation between the fields of Psychology and Education in in recent Brazilian scientific production and presenting contributions of the psychological knowledge to the concept of cultural intelligence, one of the key aspects of dialogic learning. In recent educational production in Brazil, psychological knowledge is not present, although in Psychology production there Education is still a major concern. In that sense, contributions from Psychology are indicated in order to re-approach the two (and more) fields with the objective of democratization of educational opportunities.
